We recommend that you start with an Inside Passage cruise, either by small ship or by ferry.

The Alaska Ferry is an excellent, inexpensive option for cruising the Inside Passage. Not only will you have the opportunity to meet some locals (this
is our "highway" between the Inside Passage communities) but you will also have the flexibility to makes stops in each port.

If time is of the essence, consider an air tour: fly to Ketchikan, Sitka, Juneau. Add some day cruises and sidetrips to round out your tour.
