The Inside Passage

We recommend that you start with an Inside Passage cruise, either by small ship or by ferry.

CruiseWest, probably the finest tour operator in Alaska, operates boats with a capacity of not more than 100 persons and always leaves time for investigating a pod of whales or a bear sighting.  This is not a cruise ship as one would generally think.  There is a commitment to show Alaska in an informative and friendly atmosphere.  Dress is casual -- even blue jeans are always acceptable.  You can be assured that they will show you the best of Alaska!

The Alaska Ferry is an excellent, inexpensive option for cruising the Inside Passage.
